Are we mad???
On second thoughts don't answer that.
Trailwalker is a challenging team walk across the , raising money for Oxfam and the Gurkha Welfare Trust. The challenge is to get a team of four people to walk 100 kilometres (62 miles) in under 30 hours. That's like doing 2 and a half marathons. The average time is 24 hours. All this happened on the weekend of the 18-19 July. 530 teams attempted the Trailwalker challenge.
We completed the course in 22 hours 11 minutes, feeling very tired but elated at the the same time on what we had achieved as a team. It was a fantastic experience and one we will all remember.
We have still to reach our target of £2000 so please be generous. Did you know that £20 could provide 15 people with fresh drinking water.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Oxfam gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation. So please sponsor us now!
We would like to say thank you to all those students who made donations on Stuarts' maths website in response to his maths videos. The amount raised from his site stands at
£545.45 so far and this has been combined with the donations through this page to give the final total so far that has been raised.
We would like to also thank our support crew, Susan Sidders and Margaret Fitzpatrick who supplied us with food, drink and changes of clothes over the weekend.
Thank you
Stuart and Andrew Sidders
