On the 30th September, I will be taking part in the BUPA Great North Run on behalf of Guide Dogs for the Blind.

I really can't wait! At least its ONLY just over 13 miles which has got to be a plus and not a whole marathon! I don't think my body would appreciate me if I was.

Guide Dogs for the Blind recieve no government funding but provide an invaluable service for blind and partially sighted people, by giving them the freedom and independance that a guide dog gives them. It cost around £10 a day per guide dog to breed, train and care for them.

This charity has alway has a pull on me. Ok, it could be the adorable dogs and the cute puppies but its also might be to do with seeing the relationship between a guide dog and their owners and how important they are to each other. Guide dogs make such an amazing difference to people that have them. I just want to give more people that opportunity.

I know giving is a pain but even just a £1 can make a diiference. If your not that keen on giving money, then don't worry I've always got other options! I'll be doing a quiz sheet that will cost £1 but with the chance of winning a cash prize in return and I will be having a raffle. So there is a chance you could get something back for your hard earned cash. I know, you love to hate me!!

My aim through one means or another is to raise £500. That could feed 2 guide dogs for a year.
