Story

FUN RUN EVENT ~ HOLY CROSS HIGH SCHOOL, CHORLEY

SUNDAY 19th JUNE at 1pm

Derian House Childrens Hospice offer a high standard of specialist care to more than 200 children with life threatening/life limiting illnesses. They also offer a reassuring framework of emotional support to the whole family. Year on year the cost of providing the special care for the children of Derian House increases, and therefore more and more money needs to be raised. There is precious little help from central government for a children’s hospice such as Derian House, with less than 10% of their funding coming from official sources. The reality is that the hospice is open 52 weeks a year and receive statutory funding for just nine of those weeks.

Since discovering this information The Whiteley Kung Fu Institute decided they would like to help raise some money and therefore chose to organise a sponsored Fun Run event for children and adults.

For anybody wanting to participate in the event contact Steve. Spectators welcome. Donations VERY welcome either on this page or by individual members' sponsor forms, supplied by the club

Many Thanks
