• 12 million Syrians need humanitarian aid, thats half the country
• 4 million have left the country
• woman and children make up a disproportionate number of those killed
• conservative estimates put the death toll at 250,000, thats more than the entire population of the borough of Windsor and Maidenhead
• The Lebanon, the smallest country in the region with a population of 4 million has taken in 1 million more.

On Thursday 10th September Syria Relief (UK) will be heading off from their base in Manchester across Europe in a fleet of vans and an ambulance - distributing urgently needed aid and donated items to refugees throughout Turkey, Greece, Hungary and Macedonia. 

We've been overwhelmed with support from Windsor and Maidenhead in little over 12 hours; so many people are donating items that will be taken up to Syria Relief's base in Manchester and loaded into their vans.

And I think we can do more. Financing this 10 day trip costs money, around £5000 per van. Many of you have already done so much, but donating directly to this campaign enables the charity to cover the cost of getting our donated items into the hands of as many people who need them.
