Well the Wives have Walked the Walk and what an experience! After an amazing concert and mass warm up in the most enormous pink Big Top tent located in the centre of Hyde Park, we made our way to the start line at 11.50pm with 15,000 other women and men. With everyone clad in the most fantastically decorated bras, we started our 26 mile walk through the streets of London. The route took us around Hyde Park, down Bird Cage Walk, past Big Ben, along the Embankment to London Bridge, back down the south side of the river past The Globe, Tate Modern and Millennium Wheel, through Battersea Park and then over Albert Bridge for 13 miles of snaking around Fulham, Kensington, Chelsea and Westminster. At 23 miles, Buckingham Palace was in sight and we made our way back to the cheering crowds in Hyde Park. Our supporters were awe inspiring (an enormous thanks to them) as were the many 'crew' members, support staff, medical teams and general public who lined the route. It was a most humbling experience, with women and men of all ages, shapes and sizes pounding the pavements determined to make it back to the finishing line and raise huge amounts of money for breast cancer. Huge thanks to you all for sponsoring us and to the Moon Walk team who have created the most fabulous event. A night we shall all remember.
