Story

Thanks for coming to see my JustGiving page.

For many years now, I have struggled with my weight and now have finally decided to do something about it. Starting on my 42nd birthday, Saturday May 1st, I will be embarking on a mission to lose a hundred pounds in a year (and not through a hole in my pocket). That is more than seven stone and represents a third of my present body weight. I am hoping to run in next year's Bath Half Marathon and London Marathon too subject to acceptance and would really appreciate your kind donations to spur me on.

As for the charity, I have been luckily enough to visit two of the Children's Hospice South West's sites at Barnstaple and at Wraxall. They are both truly inspiring places and do such great work in very trying and emotional circumstances. As a parent of four children myself, I can only imagine what it must be like to have a child suffering from a life-limiting disease.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
