We are participating in the Bupa 10K Run on Bank Holiday Monday 31st May 2010.

We would be grateful if you could split donations equally between the two charities by donating on this page, and the PCUK page we have set up. Apologies for making this difficult, but as the funds go directly to the charity via this page, it would be very difficult to set up just the one page.

We have decided to run for both Pancreatic Cancer UK (PCUK) http://www.pancreaticcancer.org.uk/PCFundraisingEvents.htm and Chai Cancer Care http://chaicancercare.org/ on behalf of a family friend.

PCUK put their funds towards both research and improvements in diagnostics, information and support for the families of those affected. Pancreatic cancer accounts for 5% of cancer deaths but only received 1% of funding from cancer research. It is very important that we don't forget the smaller charities in this case.

Chai Cancer Care provide support to members of the Jewish community who have been affected by cancer, regardless of the type of cancer, stage, or the person's religious affiliation.
