Story

Yo Yo Mission are working in partnership alongside Oxfam in helping to provide and improve education to poor rural communities in Zambia, Africa.

In Zambia, many children struggle to get an education. Governmental schools charge user fees and many families are unable to afford additional costs for basics such as books, transport, food and uniforms. To make life even harder, children are often forced to leave school to become carers, as their families fall victims to the HIV and AIDS pandemic.

Together with Oxfam, Yo Yo Mission have set up a project which will support 18,000 learners at 25 community schools in Copperelt, Lusaka and Western Provinces. This will provide free, high-quality education for Zambian children. Your donations will help provide the funds to set up these projects in these areas.

To help fund and raise awareness for this project, Yo Yo Mission will be taking part in a 100 mile walk from Edinburgh to Newcastle.
