The family of Late Hajji Altab Ali is making this humble appeal to help raise funds to build a Masjid in Elbasan, Albania. The location of the Masjid will be in the area of Kraste where it will benefit approximately 400 Muslim homes. Currently, there is no Masjid established in this area.

Who is Hajji Altab Ali?

On Friday 21st August 2020, my beloved Father in-law of Loughborough returned to our creator.

A pillar of the local community, his heart was always connected to the house of Allah and he could always be found in the Masjid; one can only imagine how hard the last five months of lock down would have been for him.

Masajid in Loughborough have benefited form his efforts to raise money for them, so it seems only fitting that to honour his memory, I have made intentions to raise money to build a Masjid in his name as Sadaqah-e-Jaariyah (Continuous Reward). I hope that by doing this, he will continue to gain rewards from a place he loved so dearly and that whoever contributes towards this, will also gain rewards till the Day of Judgement.

May Allah accept his efforts, illuminate his grave, expand it and make it a garden from the gardens of paradise. May Allah grant him Jannat-ul-Firdos. Ameen.

Why Albania?

After more than 47 years of communism, the ability to practice faith had been wiped out in Albania. In 1999, Rahma (Mercy) began working in the Balkans and have dedicated the last 21 years to improving the spiritual and economical aspect of the local communities. In a population of 2.8 million, Albania has almost 80% Muslims. However, our dear brothers and sisters are only Muslim by name. By building places for them to pray and learn the teachings of our Prophet (PBUH), we can help to make Albania a place where Islam is widespread once again.

We ask you to participate in this noble cause and help us to reach our target. By doing so, you will not only gain the reward of building a Masjid, but you will also be donating on behalf of a fellow Muslim, and will receive an equal share in this project.
