Story
We did it!
Between us, we have smashed our target of walking, jogging or running 150k in May - managing an amazing average of 193k!
Who are we?
We are an all-age team, from Rutherglen: Anne and Walter Smyth, Jane, Sandy and Helen Paulsen, Julie Olekah, Janis Neil, Denise Paul, the Menzies family, Dorothy McTaggart, Susanne and Kiera McCabe, Jean MacKenzie, John Gordon and Cathy Doyle.
This challenge was quite a big commitment. Why take it on?
Firstly, it was good to get out walking or running a bit more than usual!
But we also wanted to give Kenyan villagers the training, materials and expert help they need to build and run a life-changing water dam.
Many of you have helped us on our way to achieving that - thank you!
A new dam will save villagers walking for miles every day to get water for their families. They'll be able to grow fresh food and thrive, instead of struggling.
Huge thanks to everyone who has already supported our challenge so generously.
If you haven't already done so, please support our fundraising, and help Christian Aid and their local partners to change the lives of people like Florence, Rose and their families.
