Story

2009: A RACE ODYSSEY...

3 Goofballs. 2 Continents. 1 Challenge: Complete the 2009 London & New York Marathons.

After a lot of hot air, the three of us have now actually committed to running both marathons, the first of which takes place Sunday April 26th in London.

At that point half the challenge will be done. Training will then continue as we prepare to run New York in November.

So many questions remain unanswered. Will Tommy remember to bring his trainers? Will Mick actually start training? All will be revealed April 26th.

Any donations you can make to help us raise money for our respective charities will be much appreciated. Tommy & I are running London for Cancer Research UK and Mick will run for Cystic Fibrosis. All three of us will then be running New York for Cystic Fibrosis. Our Cystic Fibrosis page can be found at www.justgiving.com/2009_A_Race_Odyssey.

Support on both days will also be more than welcomed. After each event we will be arranging some form of celebration - so if you want to meet us in London, or fancy a weekend away to New York in November, the more the merrier.

Thanks very much for your support,

Daryl, Mick & Tommy.
