We've joined together to raise money for cancer care charities to honour Vikki's courage, grace and awesomeness when faced with the diagnosis of a rare cancer in 2017. Vikki was incredibly brave when faced with the unimaginable and made the most of her time - Vikki showed us to challenge ourselves more and be a little bolder in life. Vikki passed away peacefully on 19th February 2018 surrounded by the love of Matthew and her family. We miss her terribly.

We first all met each other at Liverpool University 20 years ago and now we will be running in the Liverpool Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series on 19th-20th May 2018, as well as Kate Y Toby running in the Litchfield Half Marathon on 6th May 2018, and our international competitors Ruth & David tackling the 15K Trail race Mount Oxford Odyssey in New Zealand on 19th May.

We are all challenging ourselves physically to get round the race... Some of us have never run a race before and are going from couch to 5K, some are taking on the full whammy of a marathon, others are going for half marathon, some are roping in the kids for the 1 miler fun run. It has to be said that some of our running ambitions far outweigh our fitness level and understanding on how to run 26.2 miles...!

However, no matter the distance, no matter the ability, we are all in it to make a difference for Dorothy House Hospice Care which is close to Vikki's heart.
