The Mission 
12 Students from a central London church are heading out to Eldoret and Funyula in Kenya between the 6th and 20th September this year to run two training events for local churches and through those official church contacts support small local children's homes/orphanages and hospitals as well as the ongoing work of the well-known child sponsorship charity "Compassion" and "Kenya Children of Hope" who help rescue, care for, educate and re-home street children in Nairobi (even reuniting them with their real family when possible). With all the causes and official charities we are supporting we know that the money raised will go straight to the point of need - which is genuine and desperate.

The 24-Hour Footie Fundraiser Event / Record Attempt!

The idea of a 24-hour 5-a-side football event was birthed as a fundraising idea because we love football and wanted to get as many people as possible involved in raising money for these very worthy causes. It has since developed into an official world record attempt, endorsed by Guinness World Records, beginning at 10am on the 15th August at the Wimbledon Goals centre near New Malden: here.

Whilst there will be several pitches in use with as many people as possible taking part in shifts, signing up for as many hours as they can, there will also be one pitch trying to break the current WORLD RECORD for a marathon, continuous 5-a-side football match, which currently stands at 25 hours.

Whilst we're sure we'll have a lot of fun, really this is all about being able to transform the lives of the people (and especially the children) we are going to meet in Kenya, who lack hope and need help. Please do give as generously as you feel able, it'll make a REAL DIFFERENCE.
