Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page for Cancer Research UK.
In 2010 we lost my gorgeous cousin to an aggressive brain tumour. The lives of her husband, her children, her parents, her brother, her sister, her family and her friends was changed forever.
In 2012, i was diagnosed with a rare tumour under the brain. I had neurosurgery and am fine albeit i'm still a patient at The Christie Hospital.
I am ready to push myself harder than i ever have in pure, absolute, selfish memory of Jennifer Smith was Barbour and for Cancer Research UK.
Jennifer is gone but she will never be forgotten. There's isn't a day that goes by whereby i am not reminded that i have been exceptionally lucky where so many families are not. I know this and i am reminded of it daily. I am humbled by my experiences and the way Jenny and the family fought Cancer. We are all affected by this disease and my heart goes out to all that fight, all that lose and all that are left behind.
In 2015 i will be running 3 marathons in 3 months (plus a few other runs including Oulton park half marathon, Great North Run and Conwy half marathon) across 12 weeks for Jennifer and in doing so to hopefully raise money for Cancer Research UK:
- Rome Marathon Sunday 21st March 2015
- Greater Manchester Marathon Sunday 19th April 2015
- Liverpool Marathon Sunday 14th June 2015
