WE MADE IT!!!!!!

We climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon and cycled 442 miles between them in 67 hrs and 20 minutes!

It was very painful and seemingly endless.  We were incredibly lucky with the weather, the first drop of rain fell as soon as we got in the car to drive back to London!

Many thanks for all your support, Joseph and Charlie.

Thanks for your generousity to raise funds for the following two rural east African communities:-

Matumaini (Molo, Kenya)

A white Kenyan farmer has devoted her life and her land to the local people. There is a primary school, secondary school, rehabilitation centre for disabled children and young people, practical skills training centre, church, medical dispensary, shop, and some accommodation. It is a very big community which provides a crucial service to thousands of local people. It is situated very near Molo in Northern Kenya, and many friends there have been affected by the post election tribal fighting and the fuel tanker disaster last year.  Your money will help towards a second borehole to provide enough clean water, as well as essential maintenance & supplies for the rehabilitation centre and its solitary vehicle!

Mt Gessi School (Nyarakamba, Uganda)

The children of the Rwenzori mountains have very little or no access to education.  The schools are too far away in villages on the plains, and the mountain peoples have a volatile relationship with their lower neighbors.   A local man has taken the initiative, and brought a school to them.  Starting simply, carving a plot in the hillside with a mud school building, chalkboards, about 5 teachers and 60 students, it is gradually growing, and needs our help to fund better access, basic school supplies, more classrooms, and more robust buildings.

International Teams have kindly offered to distribute the sponsorship directly to Matumaini and through the charity Obumu to Mt Gessi School in a 50:50 split between the two communities.  All your donations will go directly to the communities.  None will go to fund our trip or go anywhere else.
