Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Many different activities and events have so far helped raise in excess of £8,000 for Marie Curie and Naomi House - the two nominated charities for the 40for40 darts marathon. But the challenge is far from over as we will be continuing to collect donations until the end of the year.
For those who do not yet know the details, along with Paul Ackland, David Williamson and Mark Elton, we will be attempting to break an existing official world record (currently 27hrs 22mins) by playing competitive darts, as pairs, against each other for a period of 40 hours!
This will be taking place at the Linden Tree in Bursledon starting at 6am on 2 July and aiming to finish around 2.30am Saturday 4 July. If you wish to pop in and support us please feel free to come along and join in the festivities. You can even try a pint of "40for40" beer, brewed by Wadworth to mark the occasion.
On the evening of Saturday 4th July we will be having a special party to hopefully celebrate our accomplishment, during which there will be an auction of mostly sporting items such as signed Football, Cricket and Darts Memorabilia.
Don't forget that donating online is the quickest method of ensuring the charity receives its money. Also if you are a taxpayer, then JustGiving will automatically claim Gift Aid inclusive of the supplement currently available.
On behalf of Marie Curie Cancer Care, Naomi House Children's Hospice and the "40 for 40" team, thank you very much for your kind and generous donation.
