Well its the big 40 and time to do a crazy challenge! Flinging myself out of an aeroplane at 10,000ft seemed the right thing to do. I am not sure if it was decided on the 3rd or 4th bottle of wine but I am now committed to jumping in spring 2010 some where in Lincolnshire!

To make the jump really worth while I want to ask you all to sponsor me. The money raised is for St Gemma's Hospice in Leeds. Some of you have been kind enough to support us with the Windermere Row - 'The Cambridge Blues' raised almost £1000 (thanks to the Marks Brothers and Tripp boys - Claire and I, well we enjoyed the ride!). I hope to get near to this target.

The Hospice costs over 7 million pounds a year to run, around 5 million is raised by public donations. It provides palliative and end of life care for the people of Leeds; admitting over 600 patients per year. The day service is fabulous offering  range of therapies, such as music, art and complementary therapy alongside medical and nursing support and much more. The community service is probably the largest component of the service supporting people in their own home or place of residence.

So help me celebrate my 40th year by donating what you can to send me plummeting to earth from 10,000 feet with some bloke strapped to my back!
