Bearing in mind I have never run more than a mile or 2 in my life - and then only under duress from the Sports Teacher..............but......

.....inspired by my Father's dignified battle with Cancer which sadly ended on Sunday 17th December 2006 at age 62, and the support of friends and family - together with my great friend Paul, I am taking on the Flora London Marathon in April - all 26.2 miles of it, followed by a 220 mile cycle ride (over 3 days) in the North East of England two weeks later.

I am doing this on behalf of Isabel Hospice in Welwyn Garden City - who have helped take care of my Father during the last year. Until recently, I, like I am sure many people, had absolutely no idea of the amazing work that Hospices and their staff perform. Dad, and his family have been looked after and cared for in a very special way in both Isabel and more recently, The Margaret Centre (Whipps Cross), and this is my way of saying thank you to them - as well as doing something positive in my Dad's memory.
