L2B Bike Ride update, Sunday 17 June 2008

The bike ride went well. In the left column, you can see us at the START line in Clapham Common. We kept together as a team, rendezvousing along the way. It felt great when we met after the climb up Ditchling Beacon hill and then the cycle down the hill into Brighton, crossing the FINISH line in a straight line formation, to collect our medals. Thank you to all our sponsors. If you have pledged, please donate online by clicking the "SPONSOR US NOW" link above. Do spread the word and ask your contacts to make a small donation to the BFH and so help achieve the mighty £7,777 target. Do share this link with them http://www.justgiving.com/7rides_for_7brothers.

We are asking companies to donate £77: send us your logo, web address and a message and we will feature your company logo on this page with a link to your site. We will also feature your message - and if you can include 7, 77, or more in your message, relating to your business and maybe the British Heart Foundation, then our many visitors are sure to take notice.

Our target is 911 sponsors, individual and corporate, giving a total of £7,777. And for this excellent cause we really don't want to stop there...

Thought for today
If you cycle regularly, you can expect to be as fit as an average person 7 years younger. {from the guardian guide to cycling March 2007}

Sponsorship to 3 July 200892 sponsors giving £2,161.50

Team Target = 911 sponsors giving a total of £7,777

Just think, 911 sponsors, that is 891 individual sponsors and 20 company sponsors ,will help achieve the challenging team target set [£7*891+£77*20=£7,777].

So, do spread the word to raise the pulse to beat this challenging target!!!

[If any information shown here needs to be updated or if you have a wise bike message, please contact john@shopserveruk.co.uk].

#20  Sir Winston CHAINWHEEL :: "We shall not flag or fail. We shall go on the end-to-end. We shall cycle in the cities, we shall cycle alongside the seas and rivers, we shall cycle with growing confidence and growing strength in the saddle, we shall defend our few feet of space, whatever the cost may be, we shall cycle on the A-roads, we shall cycle on the B-roads, we shall cycle in the lanes and in the streets, we shall cycle up the hills; we shall never surrender our handlebars." {from Unquotable Quotes}
