We at CARE International, fight poverty to help the world’s most vulnerable people.

Story

Team Last of the Summer Wine is fundraising for CARE International whose work around the globe supports vulnerable people living in poverty, affected by war or natural disaster. CARE provides emergency food and shelter, and helps communities create sustainable solutions to poverty. Women and girls are most affected by poverty, so CARE puts them at the heart of what they do and works to tackle issues of inequality and support them to reach their full potential. Your sponsorship will help CARE reach more people and achieve a world of hope, tolerance and social justice.

The Yorkshire Three Peaks route is 24-miles long, and includes 5,200ft (1,585m) of ascent. This is one of the UKs toughest walks and will take grit and determination to complete. (Along with months of training).

The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge takes on the peaks of Pen-y-ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, usually in this order, and in under 12 hours. These peaks form part of the Pennine range, and encircle the head of the valley of the River Ribble, in the Yorkshire Dales National Park.
