The Silverstone Half Marathon was on Sunday. I got round in 2 hours 8 minutes. I got off to a good start doing 8 minute miles for the first 7 miles. I stopped for a wee on mile 7 and that killed my legs. Still, I managed to get 10 minutes off my Great North Run time. Training resumes tomorrow for the Edinburgh Marathon in May!

I have now added the Silverstone Half Marathon on March 6th to this years events. It's a bit of a warm up for Edinburgh.

I have always wanted to run a marathon, and in fact, I wanted to do it before I was 21. Having run in the 2010 Great North Run and completing it in 2 hours 18 minutes, I have taken the plunge and have got a place in the 2011 Edinburgh marathon. This will be a rewarding challenge for myself. Please make it worth all my hard work by donating money to Cancer Research Uk. Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
