Dear All,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. I understand that you are all probably inundated with emails for people doing charity eat-athons, cross-dress-athons & monologue-athons but I couldn't get on any of those events and got stuck with the London Marathon having had a punt on a ballot back in November through the HAC.

I completely forgot about this and was suprised to find a 'guaranteed entry' form on my doormat halfway through January. I have now started training and am sprouting blisters like a plague victim but I am cracking on as the reason I am doing this is 'Help for Heroes'.

For those of you that do not know this charity; it was established a couple of years ago in order to support injured troops returning from operations. Their current focus is the establishment of PRCtrs (Personnel Recovery Centres) at barracks around the UK that act as launch pads to life for seriously wounded or long term sick service personnel.
