Story
Highland Cross is a 50 mile duathlon (running 20 miles and cycling 30 miles) across Scotland from Kintail to Beauly. The event is organised by volunteers to raise funds for charities across the Highlands. Since 1983, over £4.4m has been raised and distributed in full to deserving causes.
This year's charities are Caberfeidh Horizons who work with young people and adults with learning difficulties and mental health problems across the Highlands.
Dundonnel Mountain Rescue team working in some of the UK's most remote areas.
Abbeyfield Ballachuilish Society who assist with care and NHS services to those with financial troubles living in remote areas of Lochaber.
