Dzien Dobry!

Hello and welcome to my Just Giving page.

On the 7th August I am running the 2010 London Triathlon on behalf of Scope, a charity for the condition called Cerebral Palsy (Mozgowe porazenie dzieciece). Scope is a charity which raises awareness of, gives practical advice and services to disabled people with this condition and their families.

The reason I chose this charity to fund raise for is that the baby of my best friend in Poland was initially thought to have this condition, which caused much worry for all. So when I had to chose a charity to represent for the Triathlon Scope was my natural choice. Little Mickolaj is too young to make any definite diagnosis, but whatever happens he is greatly loved and looked after by his family and will have a wonderful life.

The Triathlon is 750m swim, a 5km run and a 25k cycle, which individually are doable but together a great challenge. I have been practicing with regular jogs and cycling round Richmond Park (an excellent place I recommend a visit). I have also cut down on the cakes and chocolate  (the worst of all!) and plan to brave the cold at Tooting Bec lido to train for the swimming part.
