Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Aimee Sullivan and Cat Phipps are raising money for Marie Curie.

We will be completing a 76 mile horse ride on 16 year old Delboy and 12 year old Lightening.
Anyone that knows us well know that your average 10 mile charity ride would just not do it!!! So in order to bring the funds in we decided we would need to do something a bit more testing....hence the long distance ride.

Our sponsored ride is now from PYLE (Bridgend) on 26.6.15 all the way past PEN-Y-FAN and finishing near BUILTH WELLS!!!!! 76 miles on hard going terrain!

Both parties have fairly poor (and by that I mean shocking) navigational skills so the fact we are riding 75m using maps and a  compass surely must make u dig deep into your pockets?!?! Practise rides WILL be needed and to learn to read a map and compass efficiently aswell as getting both ours and the boys fitness up!

The ride will be over 3 days and whilst we will be taking in some beautiful views, the terrain where we will be riding is NOT easy going. It is rocky, rugged, hills, mountains and will be tesing even for our fit horses!
Even more testing is that we will have to carry everything we need for the 3 days with us :(

The 1st day will see us ride from Pyle to Ystradfellte (35miles), 2nd day will be from Ystradfellte to Lower Chapel (25 miles) and our 3rd and final day from Lower Chapel to Rhos Goch. An overview of the journey can be seen on a map in the gallery.

Updates can be seen on our facebook page https://www.facebook.com/aimeeandcatsrideforlife

We are raising money for Marie Curie (info can be found on the link). More commonly now we are all being affected by the 'Big C' in some way or another.....whether is is ourselves or someone close to us, friends or family.

Aimee: I lost my Pap after a few short months battle to cancer in March 2013 and the Marie Curie nurses were a great help. More recently my dad lost a lifetime friend after an extremely short 8 week battle to cancer.

**Please donate and share as much as possible....you never know when you or someone close to you may need the help of Marie Curie.**

Thank You,
Aimee and Cat  x
