Story

In 2015 my dad travelled upto Scotland to undertake a relatively new type of course. HorseBack UK is a charity set up to empower serving and former military personnel suffering from both physical and mental life changing injuries. Using horsemanship and outdoor activities, they deliver personal development programs that encourage the participants to acquire new coping strategies, life skills and build lasting resilience.

Mum said dad came back with light in his eyes that she had not seen for many years. Horses for my dad became the best PTSD therapy and he looked into working with horses. Thus Arch Cottage Ardennes was born and dad got his first heavy horse, today dad has me and our bond is already unbreakable, on his bad days I'm there for him and he for me.

Remembrance is always a hard time of year for dad so We've decided to raise money for HBUK and will be walking with me under harness to our local war memorial to arrive just before 11am with a wreath to pay our respects to all those who gave their tomorrow's for our today.
