Story
Hello folks and thanks for visiting the fundraising page for my entry in the 2012 London Triathlon in support of Macmillan Cancer Support.
I guess you may have two questions:
1.) Why would I throw myself in to the Thames to swim 1,500 metres, then cycle 40km and then fianally run another 10km?
2.) Why should you give me money for such a ridiculous endeavour?
Well the answer to the first can probably be found in the grey hairs on my head and the inches round my waist. No surprises there but the answer to the second question is equally obvious.
I’m going to be competing on behalf of the Macmillan trust, who do great things to help families affected by cancer, which unfortunately means every family. They provide emotional and logistical support for people when they most need it, ensuring that those who are suffering are comfortable and that their loved ones are comforted.
You can find out more about Macmillan here:

I will be doing my best to earn your cash and deliver the best possible performance on race day. I’m currently targeting a time of 2hrs 40mins, which will be achieved through a punishing training regime, which began in the cold and ice of winter and continues in the harsh drought conditions that we now face. I will suffer for your generosity and more that you give, the harder I will train, so please dig deep!

The race is not until September so you have plenty of time to pledge your cash but the sooner the better.
