Hi there and thank you for visiting my JustGiving Page. 

On the 8th October I am running the Royal Parks Half Marathon. 

I am running for Petals, the baby loss counselling charity. 

Our daughter Abigail was stillborn in March 2022. Fortunately, however, Petals were able to give us the support we needed and we are forever grateful to the organisation for helping us to navigate such a difficult time. 

They provide a specialist counselling service for women, men and couples who have suffered the devastating loss of a pregnancy or death of a baby. It is a sad reality that in the UK, 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, 1 in 200 babies will be stillborn every year, over 5000 pregnancies will be terminated for medical reasons each year and 24 babies die shortly after birth every single week. Petals delivers hundreds of counselling sessions every month. Each session cost Petals £80.

I want to do my bit and pay forward the kindness and support we received to any others who may need it and fund as many sessions as possible, so many more parents can be supported. 

I will be quite slow but I will get round, doing my bit for a wonderful charity, to support those in need and in memory of Abigail.
