Last year I set this challenge for my Dad in order to try and get him to lose his beer belly in time for my wedding in October. 

We are both running for Alzheimers because my Gran is currently in a home and has been suffering from the disease for several years, she is now in the advanced stages of the illness. My Grandad also still lives alone but with daily care and also suffers from alzheimers and dementia. It is terrible to see wise and intelligent family members forget who you are and to see them lose confidence because they aren't sure of anything anymore.

This will be a real challenge for my Dad. This time last year he literally couldn't jog more than 50m. We have now achieved 8 miles in training but don't expect a fast time! I intend to run with him during the race but have pledged to raise £500, in order to secure my place at the event and to support him more than anything. So please help!
