Fundraising for Maisha Trust
On Saturday 28th at 0700 I set off on my 21.1km journey around London and completed the distance in 78 minutes and 15 seconds!
It's not too late to support my effort, so if you feel that my pain and suffering, and the very worth cause for which I am raising money, deserves support, then please donate generously.
I am raising money for Sarah Junior School, a charity for which I have been a trustee for a couple of years and which does incredible work to reduce the barriers to education for some of the world’s most disadvantaged children.
The charity's aim is to make education available to some of the poorest families in . It does so by running a nursery school for about 65 children living in Kibera, just outside in , one of the largest and poorest slums in the world. The charity has reduced standard school fees and removed other costs that often prevent poorer families from sending their children to school, such as the cost of books and entrance exams for primary school. The School also provides hot meals to the children - often their only meals of the day. You can learn more about the charity at www.sarahjuniorschool.co.uk* Charities pay a small fee for our service.
