Story
In order to raise money for Oxfam, and try to push myself outside my comfort zone, this year I am taking part in Oxfam's 100 km challenge Trailwalker. Trailwalker takes place over the weekend of July 14-15 in the South Downs (its in the south, for my American friends, thats just about as specific as I can get right now...) and must be completed in under 30 hours. Yikes!
So the long and the short of this is, PLEASE find it in your hearts to be a better person than I (usually) am and donate some money to Oxfam for my suffering. I promise to suffer an appropriate amount to be worthy of your donations, though I am suffering already just asking, there I go being a Minnesotan again....
Setting aside your skepticism (for anyone who knows my previously unoutdoorsy nature) I am really excited about this challenge and have been training and preparing myself appropriately. I promise.
For any worry worts I have been properly 'kitted out,' to borrow a phrase from the Brits, by my father and am now the proud owner of all of the necessary gear to complete this foolishness alive (well hopefully). So please make it worth my while and support Oxfam!
