Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Eight months ago, at the age of 23, Adam was unexpectedly taken into hospital and diagnosed with a pineal brain tumour. Immediately after the diagnosis he was transferred to Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust, where he spent five weeks on the Neurology and intensive care wards.
During the five weeks, Adam had three major operations on his brain. The hospital delivered crucial, life saving procedures and treatment whilst providing the highest levels of care. All of the staff were incredibly hard working and caring and we cannot thank them enough.
We are going to run every day in June to raise money for Salford Royal Hospital and specifically their neurology team and critical care unit. This will help the hospital to buy life saving equipment and machines to save more lives. We will aim to run 2 miles every day so that by the end of the month, we will have run the equivalent of two marathons - a tough challenge for two non-runners! We welcome anyone who would like to join us in our running challenge!
Thank you in advance for any donations.
