Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit Niamh's JustGiving page.  Some amazing people at Shipleys and FWJ have decided to run the London Marathon and the Fleet Half Marathon for a Chidren's Epilepsy Charity called "Matthews Friends" in memory of Niamh Maguire.

On Sunday 25th April Steve Foster from Shipleys will run the London Marathon and on Sunday 21st March the team from Shipleys and FWJ ran the Fleet half Marathon for the same cause.

Niamh started having seizures soon after she was born and conventional medications were not effective. By the time she reached 1 year old she was having over 100 seizures a day and had suffered huge brain damage.

"Matthews Friends" offered her a chance to try a new dietary treatment for epilepsy called a "Ketogenic Diet" and this treatment stopped Niamh's seizures in their tracks which gave us 3 extra years with Niamh and for that time we will always be grateful.

Please allow this charity to help other children like Niamh. Your money will save lives, so please dig deep and donate now.
