The Robes Project Homeless Charity will be hosting their eight annual SleepOut on 30 November 2018 at Southwark Cathedral in aid of the winter night shelter. Churches take turns to host night shelters, which will allow up to35 individuals a place to sleep every night during the coldest 22 weeks of the coming winter.
Homelessness is a major social issue in London, with the number of rough sleepers doubling over the past 6 years. Southwark Cathedral will be hosting the eighth annual SleepOut, which last year raised more than £143,000, and all of this goes towards offering a stepping stone out of homelessness and help people rebuild their lives.
