We Support individuals with Motor Neurone to Improve quality of life

Story

We, Allison, Harvey and Freya, are running the London Landmark Half Marathon on Sunday 7 April 2024 to raise awareness and hopefully a little bit of funding to help towards families creating lifelong memories when a family member has been diagnosed with MND (Motor Neurone Disease).

MND is a progressive disease that attacks your motor neurones, or nerves in the brain and spinal cord. It is truly an awful and cruel disease that my mother/our nanny was diagnosed with in June 2023. She unfortunately lost her battle with MND 4 months later on the 5th October 2023. We first hand witnessed MND take first her speech, then her mobility and eventually her last breath, but it NEVER took her love, kindness and smile.

There is currently no cure for MND, but our hope is one day we will get closer to destroying this awful disease. Challenging MND is a charity which ensures every person throughout the UK who is diagnosed with MND is given the opportunity to create amazing memories with their family and friends which will last forever.

Please show your love and kindness and donate what you can. This one is for you Mum/Nanny. We love you.
