As Amanda's parents, we've set up this page to provide a lasting memory of someone who did not need to die so young - age 31 years.  She had an undiagnosed heart condition, which eventually became too much for her. 

Nothing in this life is guaranteed, but there is a possibility that - had a defibrillator been available more quickly - then she might have survived and gone on to have a full life.  In spite of this disappointment, our greatest wish (now) is to raise sufficient funds to provide a portable defibrillator for use by Withington Girl's School where she spent many happy teenage years.  This way, we believe that someone else might stand a chance of surviving this unfair heart disease.

We are well on the way to raising the necessary funds for the defibrillator, but any contribution from you will make this happen that much sooner.  Thank you for visiting.
