Story
Those of you who are close to us all, will be aware of the condition that our beautiful cousin Amelia has been dealt and the fundraising we have done to assist her ever changing needs.
Amelia was diagnosed with LINCL (Battens disease) in September 2016 at the age of 4.5years. This is a terminal rare neuro-degenerative condition to which there is no cure. It has seen her change from a mischievous 3 year old, lose the ability to crawl, walk and even swallow and see. She’s now fully immobile and suffers with dementia.
Now our fundraising has come about due to her support network. Amelia attends Gibside school in Whickham, where she is provided with an enabling, inclusive environment. We aim to raise funds to assist the school to continue to provide this type of learning environment not just for Amelia, but for other children also. Myself, Charlotte and our lovely friend Lynne are about to tackle the GNR to try and assist the school with their goals.
I’d like to thank you for taking the time to read our page and your donation - if you choose to do so!
