Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
In 1994 at the age of 14 i was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis. Although i have never been symptom free and my MG is quite syptomatic with my whole body being affected, most of the time i am living a very fulfilled life thanks to research into treatments, and specialist nurses.
At the age of 19 i was made medically retired and a life with MG was looking rather bleak...But with support and advice i slowly found was able to live and work with a care package in place, knowledge of disabled peoples rights and access to work in place i managed to turn things around
I am now 35, a single mum of 2 girls aged 5 and 15, living with our 2 cats and a dog. I own a not for profit business called Butterflies Community Store that has 2 shops, which supports the local community. It also does a lot of work to support my fundraising group Amys Hope 20 to raising funds and awareness of MG and other long term conditions.
Last year a few members of my family did a sky dive to raise funds. Although i have always wanted to do this it was not possib le. So putting my massive fear of heights aside i am taking the plunge to join fellow people with MG and their friends and family in this exciting challenge.
So be it £1 or whatever you can. Please show you support and donate today.
Many Thanks
