Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Since leaving the Army in 2012 I have kept in close contact with my former colleagues and paid close interest to the Bomb Disposal Charity, The Felix Fund. The Felix Fund provides invaluable  support to bomb disposal experts and their families, present and past, by arranging and funding therapeutics breaks, rehabilitation and welfare facilities, as well as hardship grants to individuals in need (for more information see www.felixfund.org.uk ).

I feel privileged to have served alongside SSgt Brett Linley GM in Afghanistan in 2010, where he was tragically taken away from us, and I have known many people within the ‘Bomb Disposal family’ who have been affected by events in Afghanistan and other operations in their own ways. Having seen first hand the results and fund raising that Brett’s parents achieve in his memory, I would like to follow their lead. On the 26th April 2015 I will be running in the Virgin London Marathon to raise money for the Felix Fund so that they can continue the great and vital work they do, please dig deep and give what you can to a very worthy cause.

About the charity

Felix Fund supports bomb disposal and search personnel and their families. We provide welfare assistance and financial support for anyone who has conducted or assisted with bomb disposal duties; across all three services and the Met Police Counter Terror Unit SO15.
