WE DID IT ! Thanks for sponsoring us.

On Friday the 9th of July we walked up Snowden.

We arrived on Thursday in Llanberis and we could see the mountain as a backdrop to the town... that all changed on Friday when we couldnt see the mountain due to mist and low level cloud.

As we walked up there was cloud, mist, and driving rain not to mention gale force winds, large parts of the route up had turned into running streams, and even the mountain train had stopped running !

So, for the most part, it was the three of us on our own, well - us and a couple of thousand sheep who were sensible enough to be sitting behind rocks for shelter !

BUT WE DID IT ! (and walked back down)       Thanks for your sponsorship.

 

P.S. A big shout out to the Heights Hotel - if you ever find yourself in Llanberris DONT STAY THERE ! the place makes a Travelodge look like the Ritz !     NASTY !
