I feel the work that Martins House childrens hospice does is fantastic in making life easier for children who suffer from progressive life limiting illnesses, trying to give them the best care and assistance they can, whilst providing much appreciated support to their families.

 

My decision to climb Mount Kilimanjaro is from a goal I set my self 3 years ago and put off and procrastinated for sometime. Late 2008 I decided enough time was spent talking about it and now was to the time to put words into action. Enlisting the comany of my Father David to accompany me, we then found a more interesting route for climbers to ascend KILI, via the western Breach.

 

Once we had started training and had already paid for the trip, we decided it would be nice to try to raise money for a local charity in our community, so they could benefit from the support of our friends and family.

 

All money raised by myself will be given to "Just Giving", to pass on as appropriate to Martins House Childrens Hospice. We have paid for our trip to Kili for both of us direct and none of the money raised will subsidise this cost.
