Andrew and I are learning to ballroom dance so we can perform at a charity event in a few weeks time in  aid of fundraising for the Forget me not charity in Banchory. We are taking part in this worthwhile cause although we have no dance experience and are very much out of our  comfort zone  in memory of my  lovely mum who suffered from dementia, she was always stoic and never complained. She never attended the  Forget me not Centre, as we had no knowledge such a place existed, but, having seen and heard the benefit our friends father got from attending I feel sure She would approve of our challenge. 

This charity ensures much needed support  at their day centre for those affected by dementia and,  as importantly, support and respite for families of sufferers. Therapies, Strength and Balance,  Musical Entertainment and Day Trips are all provided in small groups and the funds raised will help to keep our resource centre day to day costs covered
