Story
Blog 22nd August 6.30am. Shovelling down porridge although it feels like the middle of the night. Hugh and I set off in Richmond Park for a trial Duathlon. It is pouring with rain. We manage the 10km run, transit to bikes for 20km and set off immediately for final 5km run up hill. I am knackered but feel exhilarated after a 2hour 25 min finish. I hate running and started only 3 months ago, once a week. I am determined to compete in this duathlon and raise money for such a relevant cause, Ovarian Cancer Action. I am lucky to be here and if this helps me survive so be it. Thanks for all your support and generosity AGAIN!!
My start time on 12th September at Roehampton Gate is 10:50. If you would like to come to see one sweaty lady run .......your support would be wonderful. It is in any event a great day in the park and, for this one day, no cars are allowed in the park. No parking in the park either of course.
Will keep you posted of my progress....
Love
