Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Starting on Saturday Morning, 4th of July, we left from John O'Groats for Lands End with Doug (who did the first trip with me)  and Jamie Carlyle, to add a bit of youthful enthusiasm!   Jim Duffy  supported us with driving, lotions, potions and therapy en-route, and it worked!

Ten years on we hope once again to make a difference and raise money for our chosen charity .This is particularly apt as we have lost several dear friends to cancer over that period. Donations to date are fantastic so we are really hopeful of a great total. we are hopeful of collecting all our pledges by the end of August so there is still time to donate, while we recuperate! No donation seen as too big!!

We will be presenting all the cash donations to our local Macmillan Branch once it is all collected, and obviously the money donated via the 'Just Giving' route goes directly to the charity -without the need for us to do the admin. The choice is yours. Keep spreading the word.

Our route comprised the following stops John O'Groats , Tain, Fort William, Dumbarton, Moffat, Kendal,Middlewich, Leominster, Cross,  Okehampton, Probus,Land's End.

For 'Stats'  officianados the figures generated by Gus (oldest and heaviest) were 876.4 miles pedalled, 44,307 feet climbed, 84 hours and 20 minutes in the saddle and 40,109 calories burned!!

Thanks to the young guys for waiting for me at the top of every hill!!

There is still time to donate.  Thankyou.
