Story

Dear Friends

I have decided to run a half marathon here in the UAE, it's called The RAK Half Marathon - www.rakmarathon.org, on 18th February 2011.

While I run there are a few things that go through my mind, the most common being Family & Friends.  I unfortunately lost my Dad to Cancer a couple of years ago and always try to remember the good times with him and I often think of him watching over me, which gives me the strength to keep moving forward.

I have decided to run for a charity called Clan House, www.clanhouse.org, they are an amazing charity that offers support to anyone affected by any type of Cancer, whether affected personally, as a carer, family member or close friend.  If there is any chance you could make a donation to this charity through my page it would be greatly appreciated.

MESSAGE TO MY DAD!

I thought of you today, but that is nothing new.

I thought of you yesterday and will tomorrow too.

I think of you in silence and make no outward show,

For what it meant to lose you, only those who love you know.

Remembering you is easy, I do it everyday

But It’s the heartache of losing you, which will never go away.

You fought your greatest battle, but unfortunately lost the fight

But now you’re at rest and peaceful, which I know’s a beautiful sight

In my heart your memory will always stay,

My Dearest Dad, I think of you everyday.

In Memory of my Dad - Chris Royall

Who passed 18th October 2008 -  RIP

Many Thanks

Anna
