Story
In the last months of Anne's life we, as a family, had to provide full time care for her as her cancer progressed.
This was made so much easier because a team of family and friends emerged, at some cost to themselves, to provide support. I will always be grateful for this. It made a difficult time much easier, but also highlighted to me what a challenge it must be to be a sole carer without that support network - especially when the care required is ongoing.
Regardless of what the reason is, being a carer is a challenging role and the Carers Trust is a charity which aims to provide support for people who find themselves in the position looking after a loved one. So please donate to this charity in memory of Anne.
