Hi All,

For those that know me well, and on a social level especially, you’ll probably think that someone has just hi-jacked my life.

No, this hasn’t happened.

Whilst I can usually be found propping up a bar somewhere over the weekends, on this particular one I’ll be doing something entirely different.  Yep, running!  With so many friends and colleagues committing to getting in shape and helping out a good cause on the way I’ve decided to do the same.

This day sees me running the Sheffield ‘TenTenTen 10k’, so called as it’s a 10k run on the 10/10/2010.  This is a sponsored run in and around Endcliffe Park in Sheffield to raise funds for the Weston Park Hospital Cancer Charity.  Weston Park Hospital is one of only 3 dedicated cancer hospitals in the country, and those who have been touched by their work know they do a truly fantastic job.  To continue their work they need my legs and your money!

It’s for a terrific cause and I’d much appreciate any donations you can offer, no matter how small.  When you bear in mind we’re on about someone who generally takes his car to pick up the TV remote you’ll appreciate this is quite a change in pace for me.
