Story
Last October we lost our beloved Roxy to Cancer. Roxy loved to hike so she was going to be John's training partner for his trip to Everest base camp in April and the Camino de Santiago in June. Daisy, Roxy's sister is not able to take her place due to her weak shoulder so our puppy Penny and her friend monkey are taking on this challenge.
Most people have asked why we're not raising money for Cancer as this is how we lost Roxy. Well in truth Roxy loved her toy Monkey from The Charlie Gard foundation and cancer does get a lot of support and funding into research whereas Mitochondrial diseases does not. Mito is classed as rare yet more and more children are being diagnosed and dying from this horrendous disease and until enough awareness, funding and support is put out there mito will continue to be a silent killer.
The charlie Gard foundation is a new charity set up last year to help fund vital research into mito and other rare diseases, they help create memories for families with very poorly children etc.
Please help Penny and Monkey raise some vital funds for this wonderful cause.
