Story
On the 25th October, Noah and I are going to walk 9km around the Eastern Coastal Loop of Singapore to raise money for Breast Cancer Support. This ‘Pink Ribbon Walk’ is close to our hearts as we lost our dear friend Sarah to breast cancer in January. Sarah was only 39 and she spent many years battling breast cancer. Noah and I will be remembering Sarah as we walk; she was an amazing person who never let anything get her down, no matter what was thrown her way. Her positivity, kindness and strong spirit were an inspiration to us and we would like to continue fundraising as we know that she herself had planned to do so over the coming year.
Breast Cancer Support has been working on collaborative projects around the globe for the early detection of breast cancer. They are helping increase breast cancer awareness through a screening program, especially aimed at those in poverty-stricken countries who do not have access to medical care, due to the lack of facilities and financial means. With the use of the iBreastExam screening device, they aim to help increase breast cancer survival rates through early detection.
