My last trip on the Thames I was all dolled up aboard a cruiser with a chilled glass of wine in hand ...On the 3rd of July i'm paying the river another visit - but this time i'm mixing it up,  donning my wetsuit and snapping on a fetching swimhat and throwing myself into the water for the Great London Swim.  My partner in crime Lisa Edwards is doing the same and we've vowed that the loser between the two of us will be paying for a slap up lunch following the race  - As if winning my free lunch wasn't enough  I'll also be hoping by risking life and limb swimming through the swan poo and shopping trolley sewer that is the Thames some of you will be convinced to sponsor me a couple of pounds to raise funds for The Stroke Association a charity very close to my heart.

Approximately 150,000 people (of all ages) in the UK suffer a stroke every year and currently The Stroke Association is the only UK charity working to combat the causes and helping those affected.

Any donation will be very much appreciated and put to great use
